🦊 How to Receive and Send Crypto with MetaMask

MetaMask is one of the most popular non-custodial wallets for Ethereum and compatible blockchains.

🪙 Receiving Crypto​

  1. Install MetaMask
    Download the MetaMask browser extension or mobile app.

  2. Create a Wallet

    • Follow the setup prompts and back up your secret recovery phrase.
    • Never share this phrase with anyone.

  3. Get Your Wallet Address

    • Open MetaMask.
    • Click your account name to copy your wallet address (starts with “0x”).

  4. Receive Funds

    • Paste this address into your exchange’s withdrawal screen.
    • Choose the Ethereum (ERC-20) network for tokens like USDC or USDT.

⚠️ MetaMask does not natively support Solana. Use an Ethereum-compatible network only.

💸 Sending to a Vendor Wallet​

  1. Open MetaMask and click Send.
  2. Paste the vendor’s wallet address.
  3. Select the correct token (e.g., USDC, ETH, USDT).
  4. Enter the amount and click Next.
  5. Review gas fees, then confirm the transaction.

✅ Once confirmed, you’ll see the transaction under “Activity.”
