How to Buy Cryptocurrency on Robinhood Using a Debit Card
This guide walks through purchasing cryptocurrency on Robinhood using a debit card, from account setup to confirming your transaction.
Requirements Before You Start
Before purchasing crypto, make sure you have:
- A verified Robinhood account
- Identity verification completed (KYC)
- A supported debit card (Visa or Mastercard)
- A debit card issued by a U.S. bank
- Two-factor authentication enabled (recommended)
⚠️ Credit cards are not supported for crypto purchases on Robinhood.
Step 1: Log In to Your Robinhood Account
- Open the Robinhood app or go to https://robinhood.com/
- Log in using your email/username and password
- Complete any required security prompts (2FA, device verification)
Step 2: Enable Crypto Trading (If Not Already Enabled)
