🧬 How to Receive and Send Crypto with Base Wallet

Base Wallet (by Coinbase) is built on the Base Layer-2 network and supports ERC-20 tokens and stablecoins.

🪙 Receiving Crypto​

  1. Download Base Wallet
    Available on the App Store and Google Play.

  2. Set Up Your Wallet

    • Create a wallet and back up your recovery phrase securely.
    • This phrase gives you complete control of your funds.

  3. Get Your Wallet Address

    • Tap the Receive button.
    • Choose the crypto you want to receive (e.g., ETH, USDC).
    • Copy the address or use the QR code.

  4. Send From Exchange

    • Paste your Base Wallet address into your exchange’s withdrawal field.
    • Choose the correct network (Ethereum or Base, depending on the token).

💡 Sending from Coinbase to Base Wallet on the Base network is usually faster and cheaper.

💸 Sending to a Vendor Wallet​

  1. Open Base Wallet and tap Send.
  2. Paste the vendor’s address.
  3. Choose the correct network and token.
  4. Review fees and confirm.

✅ The transaction will appear on the Base or Ethereum blockchain within seconds to minutes.
